Would it be possible to replace a passive high-pass filter with Roon’s Parametric EQ?
Vandersteen subwoofer are connected to the amp through first-order, passive high-pass filters placed in front of the main amplifier. The filter rolls-off 6db/octave at around 80Hz, and the subwoofer’s internal amp samples the output from the filtered main amplifier and corrects for the roll-off that has been introduced.
I am hoping I could replicate the same functioning from Roon’s DSP engine.
Any help/suggestion is much appreciated.
