Describe the issue

My PC is not showing up in the list of audio devices. I have taken down Windows firewall and my router firewall, restarted RoonServer on my Nuc+, and refreshed the Audio page in Roon.

Describe your network setup

TP Link AX-50 router, Netgear GS105 switch that the NUC+ routes through. PC is wireless.

Hey @rcaudio,

Thanks for writing in!

Before anything else - I’d re-enable your router firewall to ensure proper network security across your local devices.

Next, let’s see if clearing your Roon database on your Windows may help (don’t worry, it won’t touch your Roon Server database so you won’t lose saved settings here):

  • Exit out of Roon
  • Navigate to your Roon Database Location
  • Find the folder that says “Roon”
  • Rename the “Roon” folder to “Roon_old”
  • Reinstall the Roon App from our Downloads Page to generate a new Roon folder

Let me know if the above helps!

I did exactly the steps you outlined but still no PC device showing up in my devices. I had expected to have to sign in to Roon again when I started the fresh copy but it just opened up to my homepage. Looking at the log file though, it assures me it’s using the new copy.

I got things working again. I recalled having this issue once before. There were double entries for Roon and RAATserver (and others), one for public and one for private networks. I removed the duplicates and allowed the app on all and things started working again.
