per-DAC Remote control zones

hi Harry, I wondered if you’d consider a feature request, please…

I’ve added a second DAC to my RPi, and I find that my Flirc remote control doesn’t control Roon when I’m using it.

Clearly that’s because Ropieee knows about a single control zone for Roon, when using the attached Flirc remote, and that’s the zone for my first DAC.

Might there be some way to allow it to control multiple zones (not concurrently)?

One way might be to associate a Roon control zone per-DAC. i.e. rather than having just one line for the control zone on the Remote page, have one-line per DAC, associating each DAC with a particular Roon control zone. Although it would need to be persistent, so that it doesn’t disappear when the DAC is powered off.

Then, when Ropieee detects that a particular DAC is “locked by Roon”, then switch the Flirc commands to the control zone that we’ve associated with that DAC?

The assumption here would be that you’d not want to use both DACs concurrently, for different material. But if you did, then whichever locks first wins, or similar?

@spockfish any thoughts on this request, please Harry?
