· The Nucleus boots up and I can connect to it in the Roon app without issue, but I have a question about configuration/storage/attached devices

Describe the issue

After a restart it runs fine and snappy. But after a while it starts to deteriorate until it takes a minute to even get the remote connected and running. Also when I play a large playlist (2500 tracks) it gets real slow. Also see

Hi @ronaldwanders,

Thank you for your post. The team has pulled diagnostic logging and can see ongoing indexing related to Various Artists and compilation albums.

We’re investigating similar reports of high CPU draw and performance degradation during re-indexing. If you’re willing to assist, please compress and provide a copy of your Roon database by following these instructions:

Done that…

Thanks for sending a copy over @ronaldwanders! Our team will need to attempt to reproduce your performance issues as a next step.

In the meantime, I wasn’t able to see your library size on the Nucleus+, can you share more details around this?

What type of content do you have on these larger playlists? Mostly local content?

If you could also share a screenshot of the webUI from your Nucleus, that would be helpful as well - here’s more info on this:

Thank you! :raised_hands:

Well Benjamin, since I wanted to play music I cleared all my library stuff by resetting the database and “de-favo” all my tracks in Qobuz and Tidal so they won’t clutter up my library again. I also did not reconnect my local music share with about 60k tracks. The playlists you see know are all tracks from Qobuz and some from Tidal. I hardly ever use local tracks anymore.

Now: After I reset the database 3 days ago everything was swell. Fast and snappy. Up until an hour ago. For some reason it took enough time for the remote to start up on my phone so that it had to ask if there was another Roon server.

And as you can see, my lib is empty.

Thanks for the report @ronaldwanders!

To confirm, after you’ve cleared your database, you did log back into Tidal and Qobuz, which allowed you access to the playlists you’ve mentioned above?

This would auto-sync your existing favorited tracks on the platforms, which is good information for our team to know. Thank you!

We’ll be in touch with more information once our team has had a chance to examine the uploaded database. :+1:
