Phone pausing audio when Bluetooth audio cuts in

I have a Roon Server streaming using RAAT with no issues under normal circumstances.

When I use my phone with my Bluetooth headset enabled for audio calls etc, I use the same handset to trigger payback on a Roon endpoint in my office. At that point I believe the audio playback path is Roon Server to endpoint, so the phone is not in the path.

Annoyingly when my computer makes a sound the audio on the endpoint is paused for the duration of the sound and then resumes.

Is that normal? Can I disable that behaviour as it really bugs me…

If the phone rings I will stop the music playing but don’t need everytime my computer notifies me of a new teams message for the audio to pause and then restart.

Anyone else have this behaviour? I feel like there’s a setting somewhere I’ve overlooked…

This is normal when the audio device is using the system mixer. To avoid, give Roon exclusive control of the audio output.

Ok. That would make sense if the player was the phone I suppose, but it’s an independent endpoint of phone…

I will still investigate this however

The office endpoint is connected to Roon via the computer, and is using system mixer rather than exclusive mode. Nothing to do with the phone (other than both devices probably receive the same notifications.)
