Pi HAT - optical out

Hi All,

apologies if this is covered elsewhere, however I’m looking for advice on a new Pi4 HAT.

I currently use a HiFiBerry Digi+, however this is going to be used elsewhere in the house so need to buy a second.

Have no complaints, just checking what alternatives to consider. It will be connected via Toslink to a 192kHz / 24bit DAC.

Not sure how much more you could want from a Toslink HAT…

I use a Digi+ Pro. Don’t know how much it matters, but the Pro is galvanically shielded.

I have not personally used it yet, but am planning to… has very good reviews and user reports… the Pi2AES Pro Audio Shield. Not cheap, though.
