Description of Issue

The endpoint disappears from Roon after a few minutes while playing audio. The endpoint is still running and accessible. I can access the device and continue the audio by pressing playing through the endpoint interface, however the device does not appear in Roon. After several minutes it will reappear.

Detailed steps:

  • Select the endpoint in Roon (KitchenHIFI)
  • Play a track / album.
  • After several minutes the audio stops, and the Now Playing bar at the bottom of the Roon interface clears and says “Select Audio Device”
  • In a browser window, navigate to the endpoint web interface. Roon still shows as connected and will continue playing if play pressed from the web interface.

Hey @Timothy_Huber,

Sorry to hear that you’re having issues with your Pi based endpoints. What you’re describing typically requires re-flashing the OS on the device.

You may want to try repositioning the Pi before doing that to see if you’re getting WiFi interference that’s causing that endpoint to drop out.
