In my main stereo I have an Auralic roon endpoint which works perfectly. But in my AV-setup I have a Pioneer SC-LX 901 which shows up in roon’s audio setting but only via Airplay. According to the Pioneer’s specs it should have Chromecast built-in.
Network connection via LAN is working.
Are there restriction I dont know of? What am I missing? I cannot make the chromecast endpoint show up in roon.
Can you use Google Home app on phone or tablet and see if that sees it?
did not use that app yet… tried it now and cant find the pioneer in google home either.
Then it’s not a Roon issue. Check your on latest firmware for your amp it mentions this on the datasheet. So you might not have it enabled until you do this. If you are then contact Pioneer as it’s likely an issue with the amp.
oh i was sure that it isnt a roon issue. I was hoping to meet people who had similar problems…
From their website

enabled apps at g.co/cast/audioapps.
- Chromecast buillt-in will be available with firmware update.
So try updating or they have not released firmware with it yet.
I already have the latest firmware.
Chromecast works now. Several reboots of the Amp did not help. After taking it from the power grid for several minutes and reconnencting it again, everything works. But for how long this time
