Hey @user269,

Ben with the support team here, thanks for writing in! If possible, could you please reproduce the issue and share the date, time, and track playing when the issue occurs?

I’d also recommend connecting your core via ethernet if possible, as well as any endpoints if possible.

Thanks!

Hi Ben,

I should reword this. To say that the stereo hub is dropping out implies that it is available the majority of the time. Rather, since the stereo hub gained Roon Ready certification earlier this year, it has only been available as Roon Ready twice, for a short time, otherwise it just isn’t showing up as Roon Ready for me. It does show up as Roon tested.

Hi @user269,

Thanks for sharing the above information!

The first thing to confirm : are you running the latest firmware on the Platin hub? Following that, I’m seeing frequent disconnects from the Hub through google cast - are you able to disable this streaming option on the hub?

Let’s refresh your RAATServer database as well. You can generate a new RAATServer instance on your device by following these instructions, but please be aware that this will reset your Roon Settings → Audio Tab to factory settings and I would advise making a backup of any custom DSP settings you have:

  • Create a Backup of your current Roon database
  • Exit out of Roon
  • Navigate to your Roon’s Database Location
  • Find the folder that says “RAATServer”
  • Rename the “RAATServer” folder to “RAATServer_old”
  • Restart the Roon App to generate a new RAATServer folder

Let me know, thanks @user269!

Hi Ben, thanks for all that.
Hub firmware is latest.
Followed the instructions, no change.

Hi @user269,

Sorry for not being more specific - what version firmware is the device currently on? This article may be helpful to you as a next step in troubleshooting:

After a thorough review of your core diagnostics, we’re not seeing the Stereohub presenting itself to Roon at all, which typically points to a BIOS or firmware-related issue. If the above link doesn’t relate to your version firmware, I would still attempt to restore the device to factory default, and test out reinstalling the current firmware.

Hi Ben,

System firmware version is 15262. Is this the latest?

Will follow these steps anyway.

Followed those steps and it worked.
Platin Stereo Hub is now showing up as Roon Ready.
Thank you!
