Play Now behaviour

I’m sure this has been asked before but I cannot find a thread :

When I am listening to Roon I usually start building up a queue of songs to play, unfortunately sometimes I will give the iPad to a non-Rooner and they will select “Play Now” and the carefully built up queue is cleared. Is there a way to turn this behaviour off ?

Instead of clearing the queue it just starts playing that song then moves onto the next song in the existing queue once it is finished ?

Thanks

There is no current way to limit controls available to others, but an arcade or party mode is on the roadmap for the future. I’m not sure if it will include control over the queue, however, ordinarily the queue is regarded as the playground of the user.

Hitting “Add Next” in Pawmasher will interpose a track/album into the queue and then continue with the rest of the queue. That’s not what you are asking, but it’s the closest I know.

A party mode would probably function more like a jukebox where you could only add songs to the queue. Maybe we would have an option for Play Next also.
