Describe the issue
I have a Mac (macOS 15.1.1) running Roon 2.0 build 1480 connected to a Roon server Linux VM also running 2.0 build 1480. The audio device in question on the Mac is a pair of USB-connected Vanatoo Transparent One Encore+ desktop speakers.
The behavior observed is that after playing some music, if the album ends or I pause for a while, or select a new album to play, often when I try playing something else Roon will generate errors, skip the track, fail to play the next track, until it gives up after too many errors. I can resolve the problem by entering Device Setup for the USB speaker device, enabling or disabling Exclusive Mode (doesn't matter which), and trying again. The reset operation which occurs fixes the failures until the next time playback stops.
Describe your network setup
Server VM is running in a Proxmox hypervisor with a virtio network device going to the VM bridge. From there, the hypervisor is connected via 10G fiber to a Ubiquiti switch and Firewalla router. The macOS client is on a 1Gbps Ethernet connection that ends up on the same Ubiquiti switch. Both devices are on the same VLAN.
