Thanks for reaching out to us about this issue. A RAATServer refresh may help resolve what you’re experiencing. This process will reset your Audio settings under Roon Settings → Audio, so if you’ve customized any DSP settings, we recommend making a backup first.
Here’s how to perform the RAATServer refresh:
Create a backup of your current Roon database.
Exit out of Roon.
Navigate to your Roon database location.
Locate the folder named “RAATServer.”
Rename the “RAATServer” folder to “RAATServer_old.”
Restart the Roon app. A new RAATServer folder will be created automatically.
Let us know how things go after trying this, and we’ll be happy to assist further if needed.
Do other zones still work as expected? If so, then it is likely that this a multichannel issue as @BlackJack mentioned. You can check Roon’s Device Setup for the zone → Advanced → Make sure channel amount is set to 5.1/7.1 → try to send Stereo as Multichannel content. Let us know if this helps!
We haven’t seen a response here and this thread will shortly close automatically without one. Please see the two posts above - setting the channel mapping to match what the native drivers expect is the most common solution here.
If you require further assistance and find this thread has auto-closed, please reach out in a new request and we’ll re-open the conversation. Thanks!
