When playing FLAC files from a HD source, the playback will be interrupted (Windows 8 computer) whenever any popup from other open programs appears. Not only does the playback stop, but Roon loses its place in album playback mode and goes back to the start of the first tract in pause mode. This is quite annoying. Is there a way to overcome this?

In Settings/Audio/Output Settings to your current device (gear icon) is Use Exclusive Mode selected ? If not, try selecting it and let’s see if that helps.
