Does the issue happen with local library music, streaming service music, or both?
· *Both streaming and local* *library* music are affected.
Do you encounter any playback errors with the "System Output" Zone?
· The System Output has *no problem*, it's only my other Zone.
How is the affected Zone connected to your RoonServer machine?
· Cable (USB, HDMI, SPDIF, etc.)
Is your device connected directly to the Roon Server via cable or over the network, or is it chained through another device (such as a streamer, Roon Bridge, or Roon Remote)?
· It is connected through a different device (e.g Rasberry Pi)
Does the device play audio from another source when using the same connection?
· The device has no problems with another audio source
Have you checked that Roon is whitelisted in any firewalls?
· I've checked the firewall and the issue remains
Is the device using the latest firmware as per the manufacturer?
· Firmware is up-to-date but the issue remains
What are the make and model of the affected audio device(s) and the connection type?
Wow, the form to create an issue is a whole thing, huh.
Anyway, Chord Mojo2 connected to MacBook Pro over USB, streaming from server on Mac Mini connected over ethernet.
All playback results in the “Too Many Failures” error.
Connected in Exclusive Mode.
Playback to Mojo from other system audio works fine. Playback to built-in speakers from Roon also works fine.
Rolling back to 2.65 on the client restores functionality, even with Roon server remaining on 2.67, so definitely an issue introduced in 2.67, using the built in updater.
Thanks for reaching out to Roon Support and for providing such thorough details about your setup and troubleshooting - the rollback test is incredibly helpful.
To get your Chord Mojo 2 up and running on the latest build, please try one of the following adjustments in your settings:
Disable Sample Rate Conversion: If you are currently upsampling in Roon, try disabling it completely for the Mojo 2 zone. The Mojo's internal WTA filter handles upsampling beautifully on its own, and this completely sidesteps the issue.
Limit the Bit Depth/Sample Rate: If you prefer using Roon's DSP, go to Device Setup -> Advanced (or DSP -> Sample Rate Conversion) and force the Max Sample Format to 24-bit instead of 32-bit, and cap the Max PCM rate to 352.8 kHz / 384 kHz.
Let us know if adjusting these audio settings clears up the error for you on the current build!
We just wanted to check in and see how things are going. Were you able to try the steps suggested by Alex, or are you still experiencing issues with your Roon Server?
Please let us know if you still need help—we’re happy to assist further!
Can confirm that disabling sample rate conversion restores playback, but I wouldn’t say disabling a previously working feature counts as a solution, per se.
We’ve discussed this with our senior QA and development teams. The team is investigating some possibilities here and, as soon as that investigation is complete, we’ll be sure to follow up ASAP.
You have our apologies for the trouble here, and we’ve greatly appreciated your patience as we continue investigating this tricky issue. We’ll be in touch as soon as we can.
Thank you again for the report. The team has a fix for this in the pipeline and we’ll share more information here once it’s prepared for inclusion in an upcoming release.
· There seems to be an issue with RAAT following the latest Apple Tahoe 26.5.1 release

· The Roon server is on a Dell R340 server running Linux Mint and connects to my 10G Mikrotik server over DAC cable. This is connected to a Mikrotik 10/1G switch over SFP which connects to my WAN via a pfsense router and to my Wifi devices through two AP's and to my Macbook via wired Ethernet. I have a 10G connection to my downstairs switch which connects to my Moon 390 preamp over wired Ethernet.
I can connect to the Roon server with ARC and my iPad and everything works well. My Mac worked perfectly up until a couple of days ago. I use a Chord Hugo2 or Chord Mojo. The system has been stable for many years.
Since the MacOS update I cannot play music through the external DACs on the Macbook. I can play music through the internal speakers of the Mac, but trying to start playback on an album to stream to the DAC audio zone results in the play icon next to the track name skipping down the list and then failing due to "too many errors". The RAAT system does get as far as setting the sampling rate of the DAC to 706kHz oversampling and then gives up. The DAC also works with other applications on the Mac such as Youtube and Audacity.
It looks to me like an issue with RAAT and the latest MacOS update
The associated fix hasn’t yet been included in a public release, but we will notify you here as soon as you can expect this to be resolved. Thank you for your patience in the meantime.
