· I have Ronn Optimized Core on a Ubuntu Computer - It has worked fine for years- I am using KEF Wireless speakers but I have an Ethernet connection from my Server to the Kef Speakers - I operate it wireless from my Macbook - It started when it would cut out afte about 15 or twenty minutes of play - completely random but it seem to be getting worse now it will start and play about 15 seconds of a song then move to the next one - I have tried restarting and rebooting - It seems to be getting progressively worse. Most of my Music is Qobuz

Hello @Tom_Brooke,

Thank you for the details — since this behavior has changed over time, we’d like to first rule out a couple of common causes before going deeper.

Could you please check the following:

  1. KEF standby / power-saving
  • Do the KEF Wireless speakers ever go into standby or sleep mode while Roon is playing?
  • If so, please try temporarily disabling any auto-standby / power-saving settings in the KEF app and test again.
  1. Server restart behavior
  • If you restart only the Roon Server (without rebooting the entire machine or network), does playback return to normal for a while?
  • Or does the issue immediately come back?

Once we know the answers to these two points, we can narrow the next steps more precisely.

Looking forward to your reply.

I did find under the Library section in Settings a Library maintenance item and I noticed under that it said 600 deleted files so I did the reindex and it seems to have fixed it - It sounded to me like a database error and that was the closest I could find to a reindex and so far it seems to have done the trick but I have only played a few tracks so time will tell
