After years of running Roon without any problems, I’ve recently started encountering an issue.
Playback is stopping intermittently, and it’s happening regularly—every 15 to 30 minutes. Initially, I thought it might be due to slow connection speeds, but it also occurs with tracks stored locally on an external hard drive. My internet connection seems fine, so that doesn’t appear to be the cause.
I’ve already tried the usual troubleshooting steps, including:
Confirming the software is up to date.
Rebooting the entire system.
Unfortunately, none of these have resolved the issue.
For context, I’m using a Roon Nucleus+ connected via Ethernet with an external hard drive.
If anyone has experienced something similar or has suggestions for resolving this, I’d greatly appreciate your advice!
I have two zones. The first goes into a Chord Electronics 2Qute DAC and the second goes into three airplay speakers.
This issue is occurring on zone one—going into the Chord DAD.
My Nucleus+ is connected to an external hard drive and this is plugged directly into the Nucleus (I’m not using a NAS drive).
The Nucleus+ is directly connected to the internet via the Ethernet port.
I’ve been running this system without issue for some time. It does feel like some sort of conflict, but I’m not sure what that could be. I had initially thought it might be when someone else is using the same internet connection, but that appears not to be the case.
