Playback music speed is accelerated

Hello,

I finally installed Ropiee XL last version (2.462 stable), however when i play music, it is a bit accelerated (around 1,5 times compared to normal speed). If i play the music with roon on my imac, speed is normal.
Any idea ? It does not seem there is any setting in ropie to tune playback speed.
Is it a know issue ?

That sounds like an issue with the DAC your using attached to the pi. Are you doing any resampling? What’s the DAC? Show your signal path please.

Hello CrystalGipsy,
Thx for your feedback,
Herafter the music path + the config.
The DAC is a a HifiBerry DIGI+ PRO

Turn off all DSP and see if its still happens. Also if you using the digi out to a DAC, set volume to fixed. You dont really want to attenuate in the digital domain, you should use you amp for adjusting volume.

Hello,

I tried to simply as much as possible audio signal path, but it is not better Capture d’écran 2020-05-01 à 15.35.40

Tried with Dietpi, same issue !
So… it seems to be related to ROON streaming with RAAT to my Roon Audio Devices.
Is there a way to reset something in Roon Device Configuration ?

The hat might be faulty. Does it work with other sources? Have you rebooted your core recently?

Hello,

Could be HAT or Roon, did restart Roon several times, will try a reboot

No change after reboot, there is probably a way to cleanup rool without reinstalling ?

It could be your DAC. I have the same issue when I play to my Anthem STR via USB. Luckily for me the Anthem’s DAC isn’t my primary DAC, so I just don’t use it. But, I never got this sorted out.

RAAT is asynchronous; the DAC controls timing. Can you try with another DAC or PC running Roon Bridge or Control but not running Core? What happens?

Let me try this, i dont have a another DAC, i will try to run roonbridge somewhere else

Hello everyone, I can confirm that. when I play DSD Native the playback is too fast, with DoP it is ok.
My chain: STR - usb - rock (nuc)
