Describe the issue

I started a support ticket a few months back about Roon randomly stopping playback. The problem was solved but I think its returned - maybe with this latest update? the screenshot shows the last time it stopped playback - maybe you can check on your side what happened at that point? Thank you!

Describe your network setup

no network - server and Roon on same laptop

Good day @Matt_Robertson2 !

It looks like you are using Early Access Version on your device.

Can you please switch back to the production build and try again to see if the error comes back ?

Thanks!

Looking forward to your reply!

Regards.

How do I revert to production server? I re installed the roon app, but the server is still showing as the early access version. Thanks

Hey @Matt_Robertson2,

From your account admin, I see your MacMini running production, while an instance of Roon Server that is running on your Macbook Pro is running early acces, you’ll want to reinstall Roon from the downloads page on that machine as well, and you should be all set.

Heres a link:

Let me know if this helps! :folded_hands:

Sorry but on my system, installing from the link you sent gives me a DMG that replaces the Roon remote software, but not the Roon server software. How do I revert the Roon server to the production version please? Also ,how do I opt out of early access? I am still getting update notifications in Roon for the Early access versions, so if I hit update, Roon auto updates to the early access version. Thanks

@benjamin,
Please can you let me know how to revert Roon Server to production? Please see above posts.
Thanks!

Hello @Matt_Robertson2 ,

When you opened and dragged over the Roon app from the production .dmg, was RoonServer closed from the taskbar? The RoonServer application is a bit hidden in the taskbar area, so if it was running at the time, it may have been failing to overwrite because of the already-running RoonServer instance in the background.

Once you are back on the Production track, the notifications to install Early Access updates will cease.

Hi @Matt_Robertson2,

Our diagnostics server seem to indicate that your RoonServer is back on the Production track.

Are you still encountering the dropouts that you originally reported above?

Thanks Connor - so far so good, but tbh hot had a huge amount of time to test since I reverted to production. Will keep you posted! Many thanks

Good day @Matt_Robertson2 !

Thanks for confirming your results!

Let us know please should you have any questions.
