Thank you for reaching out to Roon Support — it’s great to see you again in our community!
Could you kindly clarify how the Platin Hub is connected to the Zen Mini 2? Are you using a wired or wireless connection?
Also, are all zones affected, or is the issue limited to specific ones?
We tried to enable the diagnostic to your accont but wasn’t able to find any traces of the issue in the logs, would you kindly reproduce the issue again and provide us with the timestamp?
Lastly, does the issue persist if you try playing music at a lower bitrate?
Looking forward to your response so we can assist you further!
Thanks for the update! From your screenshot, there appears to be some DSP occurring after Roon sends control of the audio signal to your streamer. If you temporarily disable all DSP, do you still run into the same issues?
From a recent diganostic report, we see playback failling due to slow media and too many audio dropouts:
Warn: [Broker:Transport] [zone BUCHARDT] Track Stopped Due to Slow Media
However, it looks like the track buffer from upstream servers to your Roon Server appears to be at 100%:
Trace: [Broker:Transport] [BUCHARDT] [Enhanced, 24/96 TIDAL FLAC => 24/96] [100% buf] [PLAYING @ 0:19/5:18] Come Pick Me Up - Ryan Adams
This would point to the issue being between your server and streamer or endpoints.
Even though it’s still nearby, could you test out a hardwire connection to see if your issues persist?
Hi Thanks for that but the platin hub cant be hardwired for ethernet…and the DSP doesnt effect playback when i use tidal or Quboz directly only via Roon.
Hi @Tony_Doherty,
I know this might seem like a simple step, but could you please try restarting the Zenmini, your router, and the Platin hub? Sometimes a full network and device reboot can resolve issues that aren’t obvious at first glance. Let us know how it goes!
That’s a helpful detail—thank you for pointing it out. Roon’s DSP engine works differently from the native apps, which can sometimes lead to unexpected playback behavior. Were you able to test playback in Roon with DSP disabled? That could help us narrow down whether the issue is specifically related to Roon’s processing.
