Playback stops in middel of song. Message: Waiting for Roon core. Shows in 5-10 seconds.
Then i can press play again. This happened several times during one hour listening session and is fantastic annoying.
Before upgrade to 1353 my system has been very stable for a long time and I have had no probems
I have of course restartet all my devices but still same problem.

Thanks for taking the time to write in! Sorry to hear about your playback issues. Can you first please reboot your server machine twice, and see if your issues persist?
Next, I’d also test out hardwiring your server directly to your router and bypass any network gear in between and see if your issues persist.
Then, test out clearing your play history and let me know how things run.
If you restart your Roon Server, and only use 1 remote device with it (leaving all other devices off and disconnected) do your issues persist?
If issues do persist, could you please reproduce the issue and share the specific date, time and name of the track playing when the issue occurs?
Once you let me know this info, I’ll go ahead and enable diagnostics for your account so I can review the logging for clues.
If you’d rather do it yourself manually, please use the directions found here and send over a set of logs to our File Uploader.
Hi Benjamin / Roon tech support
Thanks for advice.
Reboot twice. Done
Hardwire Server to router. Done
Delete play history. Done
Disconnect all but one ropieeXL endpoint. Done
I have also upgraded OS on Core from Ubuntu 22.10 to 23.10. OS and core is restarted many times after upgrade.
Upgrade to 23.10 feels also a bit faster. A bit less lagging when browsing and searching Roon GUI on my windows laptop. When accessing mapped drives on Roon Core from Windows client it also feels a bit faster to browse folders.
Roon Core, HQplayer, Rpi 3b Ropiee endpoint and Internet router are hard all hard wired to the same Cisco switch. This is a dedicated network only for roon music playback . Other devices at home use separate mesh wifi network.
I have monitored network traffic, CPU and disk speed on Roon Core (ubuntu) and Hqplayer (Ubuntu) and there is no sign of network issues or any kind of cpu or disk bottlenecks.I think It is very unikely network problems is the reason for the issue. CPU usage and disk speed are both relative low and there is lot of free capacity during playback.
Playback history: I have deleted the playback history. It contained 50.000 played songs, so this is maybe all-time activity since i started to use Roon in 2017?
After completing this steps I have not experienced any errors (!) I have been listening now for 1+ hour.
I will do some more listening and hopefully there is no more problems.
If I experience some more problems I will come back to you.
