If I hold my Galaxy S23 in portrait mode, and I select Playlists, nothing happens.
If however, I turn my S23 in landscape mode, screen does not change - i.e text layout is not turning horizontal ! - and I select Playlists, then a new screen opens with my individual playlists presented.
I have reinstalled the Roon Remote app - same issue.
It works without any issue on my wife’s phone, a Galaxy A35 5G - which has a somewhat larger screen.
Both the S23 & A34 are running Android 16 with One UI 8.0
This is how it looks on the A35 (and on my S23 when it is working):
Can you drag the sidebar a bit up? I think this might create a (possibly very small) responsive area, according to posts in this thread (where you and others reported the same problem a long time ago )
I think it’s only possible to drag that far up if „show playlists in side bar“ is enabled, like you have. If the setting is off, then the only item is „Playlists“ and you can drag up only a little bit, in which case the responsive area stays very small (if it exists at all).
I suppose this is what will be fixed soon according to the new post I just linked to.
Thank you for the detailed report and for taking the time to describe the behavior so clearly.
This issue is already known and is being actively worked on. A fix is currently in QA testing, as noted in the related Community thread. We recommend keeping an eye on that thread as well as the Software Release Notes (both Production and Early Access) for an announcement once the fix is released:
Once the fix is available and released, please update the app and test again.
If the problem persists after the fix has gone live, let us know here and we’ll be happy to follow up with you.
Thanks again for your patience and for helping us improve Roon.
It looks like Ticket #1442 is resolved after the last update, I can hide the Playlist on my Samsung Galaxy S24 and the link is now active.
Thanks guys!
