Plexamp is still being developed, and Caldera has turned up. Why is this no longer supported?

Plexamp headless is gone, so it’s no longer supported. This is why it was removed.

Headless PlexAmp that acts as a Plex Endpoint for the PlexAmp app is not being developed any further from what I understand. Development stopped in June this year.

Last version was 4.13.2

Headless Caldera seems to be the replacement.

new group of apps from the creator of Plexamp, Caldera headless could/will (?) eventually replace Plexamp headless … it doesn’t need nodejs and it’s multi-room capable … not quite ready for RoPieee yet (i think it still requires ssh for some settings/config), but i’ve been using it for a while now and it works great

Does anyone know if the specific requirements that ropieee/sonik has for caldera are being addressed by the developer? Would be very nice to know if there’s a path here!

Any way to manually add Caldera on the side to a Pi running RoPieee? Has the developer shown interest in addressing what’s required by RoPieee for Caldera to be added as a service?

I have to say I’ve been listening to Plexamp more and more on my AirPods, and for 60% of my “music is on” time at home, I would now probably choose Plexamp over Roon, being honest. Not trying to stir pot whatsoever - Roon is the core of my music infrastructure and ain’t going anywhere. But… jeeze I sure want caldera on all my Sonik endpoints! I know nothing Harry can do until dev plays ball. But listening to Plexamp on Sonos right now which is finicky as all get out… and still worth it.
