Description of Issue
I have multiple DACs for different rooms around the house, (Cayin, BluSound) and the Michi P5. All the other DACs work without issue. The Michi however, makes a popping sound between songs almost always. I have tried almost every combination of settings and can not get rid of the problem.
It seems to happen all the time. However, I will need to look at the signal path from song to song to be sure. And I assume you mean the source levels, correct?

Not really.
What I meant by track resolution is the bit rate.
So say if one track is 16/44 then the pop occurs and next track is say 24/96 etc.
You will need to look at signal path for this
OK… the source format changes always seem to cause a problem… here is a sequence where there was a pop between song 1 and 2, then none between 2 and 3.
This would be very unfortunate. The P5 is supposed to be “high end”. I just did a firmware upgrade too. You got me thinking though… My S5 went back to the factory for repair. Maybe these Michi units aren’t want they’re hyped to be. Although when they work they do sound pretty amazing.
One other thing. This is my only DAC that is connected directly to my Mac Mini Core machine? Could the Mac be causing a problem? Also the only way to get the highest resoulotion out of the Michi is to use the USB-B connection. Specs:
