Whenever I upscale roon to DSD through the sample rate conversation, I get pops when I pause or switch tracks. I use a Linn Organic DAC which is capable of doing DSD 256. When I upscale to any other type there is no popping, only when its DSD 64, 128, and 256

Hey @dingusmcdermott,

Thanks for taking the time to write in! Sorry to hear you’re running into pops during track switching on your Linn!

When you switch or pause playback in DSD, the DAC may need to reinitialize its clocking or reset its processing pipeline, which can result in audible pops, as the DAC may output unintended transient signals during the transition.

Check if your Roon settings allow for a small delay when pausing or switching tracks. This delay can give the DAC time to resynchronize without pops. Look under Device Setup > Advanced Settings in Roon for options like Resync Delay, and try setting a delay of 100-500ms and test if the pops reduce.

It would also be helpful to review Device Setup > Advanced Settings and experiment with enabling/disabling Native DSD Processing.

If you still have issues, could you please share a screenshot of your signal path when the error occurs?
