Description of Issue

The VPN disables ARC. With VPN stopped, ARC get ready in a few seconds. But still, I cannot connect from my Android.
On the edgerouter, I prefer port forwarding above uPnP, so I added:

  • Original port: 55002
  • protocol: TCP
  • forward to address: 192.168.1.xxx
  • forward-to port: 55002
But no luck on my galaxy S9+
If I can first resolve this, I’ll look further into the VPN issue

Are you running Nord on the Edgerouter?

When you say “vpn disables arc” you mean on the ipad or the router?

Few things:

  1. Port forwarding is only used out of your home
  2. NordVPN may very well break being at home and trying to access ARC but we can maybe get this working (although I’m unsure if this is a beneficial use case)
  3. Does the ipad have cellular? Does ARC work outside the home from your phone or some other device?

So… let’s confirm:

  • ARC works in your home without vpn
  • ARC works out of your home (either on another wifi network or cellular) without vpn
  • ARC works out of your home with VPN

You can simulate being out of your home with any cellular device by disabling wifi.

Hey @Arie_Bos,

You have my sincerest apologies for the delayed response here, we’ve been dealing with a higher-than-usual volume following our release and we’re working as quickly as we can to get back to everyone.

Following up on @ipeverywhere’s notes, can you please confirm:

I’ll be on standby for your reply :+1:
