Post-update Eversolo DMP A-8 detection issue (ref#J7OJCM)

After the latest update roon doesn't find my Eversolo DMP A-8 anymore.

Wired (Ethernet) and Wireless (WiFi)

I’d also trouble with two DMP-A6s with Squeeze connection and Roon (sources disappearing after a few seconds)
It seems, that the DHCP client was/is the problem and so for me, the solution was:

  • set a fixed IP in the eversolo (must be unique for sure)
  • set DNS server to google (8.8.8.8) or similar

I have gone ahead and enabled diagnostics mode for your account. This action will automatically collect and upload a set of logs to our servers for analysis the next time your Roon Server is active.

In the meantime, could you kindly clarify your network setup?
Is everything wired to the same router, or are some devices connected over WiFi?
Additionally, do you have multiple routers, a mesh system, or any managed switches between your Roon Server and the Eversolo?

I just discovered that it could be an issue of the Eversolo device that, also after a firmware update, seems to have problems with wifi connections. The device is wired to the router, too but also has trouble connecting to wifi which usually it manages it in milliseconds.

I’ll get back if it turns out to be a roon problem.
