Describe the issue

Hello, apologies, new to ROON and not overly tech savvy. I did not understand all the questions I answered in the survey. I have ROON on my new Mac mini M4pro. Everything was working fine. All zones were there. My DAC, my mac, my wife’s computer, my TV and my Yamaha receiver until the latest ROON update now only my DAC and Mac show up. I use an Ethernet connection for all devices except wife’s computer.

Describe your network setup

I am using Telus fiberoptic. Fastest internet I can buy. One router, everything connected by Ethernet cable.

Hey @Iain_Angus,

Thanks for writing in and welcome to the Roon community! We’re happy to have you here, but also apologize for the issue that has prompted your recent post.

I see you’re running macOS Sequoia 15.3, which has a few known CoreAudio-related issues that have been affecting Roon users - can you please navigate to macOS System Settings > Privacy & Security > Local Network , and make sure Roon is allowed. If it is already enabled, toggle it off and on again. Then reboot your Mac, and see if the same issue persists.

We’ve heard that the latest Sequoia update - 15.4 has helped many users maintain their missing audio zones, this may be beneficial for you as well if you are willing to take the most recent macOS update.

Let me know! :+1:

Hi Benjamin, thank you for the suggestions. It sort of worked. I got back my yamaha receiver and TV but I have lost my DAC which us connected to my mac. Any idea how to get it back? This is my main source for my music listening.

Thanks,
Iain

Hello @Iain_Angus,

Is your DAC connected to the Mac via a USB cable where the Roon server is installed? What the model and brand of your DAC?

Have you tried going to Settings → Audio to check if the device appears there? If it does, try disabling and then re-enabling it.

Kind regards,
Vadim
