Previous 2026.05 Ropieee Build Not Functional in Roon

I also experienced this with my Ropieees. I am intentionally keeping them on 2005.06 to retain their Plexamp function.

I re-flashed Ropieee 2026.05 and can confirm that it does not work with the earlier build. They remain undetectable in Roon while working in Plexamp.

Re-flashing with newer Ropieee/Verox may work, but they are lost to Roon if you keep them on the older build.

@Seqof, we’ve gathered logs and see connection failures between RoonServer and the Ropieees. The Raspberry Pis respond to the discovery announcement but don’t respond to the TCP connection attempt.

At one point, one of them actually briefly succeeds:

10/01 02:59:33 [Local 10/01 12:59:33] Trace: [raatserver] [RaatServer RoPieee-1 @ 192.168.1.34:9200] connected```

But the connection is lost shortly afterwards, and the discoveyr/connection failure cycle repeats.

Any news on this? I see there are other posts of vanished Ropiees after the 2.73 update.
