Description Of Issue
Album covers and art are not loading, no matter if local albums or Tidal ones.
I tried cleaning up library, clearing cache and also changing the memory size for photos/artwork. Nothing solved.
No, from my tablet I can see everything.
On my core machine I run the server, so I can connect to it anytime, and I also run Roon as a remote to this same machine.
Typically we find that this happens when there is something blocking the full connection between the client app and RoonServer. This could be firewall, antivirus, VPN, or other applications that affect the network.
@dylan, the problem is that I can’t see images on the same computer.
In the computer I run RoonServer, if I run the client also, I can’t see the images on the client, so there is nothing between client/server as both are in the same machine.
At the same time I’m using the client/server on the computer, if I look at the ipad app, I she the very images I’m not seeing on the computer.
What can be causing this? Also, this is something that comes and goes.
As mentioned, typically firewall, antivirus, VPN or something like that can cause an issue here, specifically on the Core machine even though other devices aren’t affected. Do you have anything like that running on the Core? If you disable temporarily is there any change?
Hi @dylan,
I use Kaspersky total security. I tried to disable it for a while, but nothing changed.
I noticed that sometimes if I launch the iPad control app first and then launch the core/control pc control, it works most of the time.
Also, some friends and I are experiencing a lot of Tidal login issues. Not sure if has something to do with Brazil’s Tidal servers or if this is something global.
Thanks for the details. The next time Roon loads up without images would you kindly use the directions found here and send us over a set of logs using a shared Dropbox link? Please also make a note of the time you start up Roon and I’ll have the team take a look.
We are investigating some reports of TIDAL not staying logged in on start up — Are you experiencing that type of issue or something else?
Regarding Tidal, I’ve been experiencing a lot of login dropouts until last update was released. Then it seemed to have improved but about 2-3 days ago I started to face problems again, sometimes regarding login and sometimes tidal simply wouldn’t play and it’s content wouldn’t load. It was very common to see the pink box saying that the overview page could not be loaded.
Today it seems to be working ok, maybe it was a problem on the Tidal side.
Hi @dylan,
I forgot to mention something odd that’s happening on the queue.
It’s not scrolling properly on its own when there is only one last track on queue.
There is almost always this small gap above the “now playing” line that seems to prevent it from scrolling.
This happens on All devices, my iPhone, iPad, PC and Android phone.
