Problem with external disk library

Hello,
My library is stored on an external SSD connected to Rock Server (Thunderbolt).
It’s been working fine for few days.
After restarting the server, Roon can’t find my library I have an error : disk not ready. Format it?

When I connect the disk to another computer, everything is OK

I have had this problem when installing Rock on my NUC: external SSD thunderbold disk is not always working:

  • If I start the Rock NUC, I can’t see the disk in the console.
  • If I disconnect and reconnect the disk (without stopping the NUC), I can see the disk in the console, but with the error disk not ready.

Any idea?

You shouldn’t do this since the disk will be marked as uncleanly mounted and requires a disk check. This is something Roon OS cannot do.

Therefore, check the drive in another computer before reconnecting it to the USB interface on the NUC.

If you continue to have problems, please state the disk model and format, and the make and model of the NUC.

I have already connected the disk to a Mac : it works perfectly.

Is it possible to do a disk check with a linux command line ?

Have you performed a disk check? Also, are you unmounting the drive before disconnecting?

It is, but not from Roon OS.

When I connect the disk to a Mac, I can access to yhe files without any problem.

So, I had to manually perform SOSDISK, unmount the disk and then connect it to the NUC.

Now, it seems to be OK.
