My Roon will play for four hours and then start cutting in and out in my office.
I use the BlueSound Flex in the office. It will be working fine in the other room with my BlueSound Node and Kanto-powered speakers. Also, it will be working on my iPhone or iPad.
This problem started last weekend when Comcast installed a new modem. The technician did say that the modem had been in his truck for some time, but would take a little bit to operate as it should. But the problem is still there after six days.
Another point, when I come back on, the Roon app will be showing a song that isn’t playing on the BlueSound Node.
I called the technician and he had me run a speed check on my contention, and it turned out fine.
@Don_Gilbert, is the problem isolated to the Flex or other devices? I am trying to understand if the issue is with your Roon Core, the device, or something else such as your network.
Can you please provide additional information on your network, such as what is connected to what, the make/model of your router, what devices use Ethernet cables and what devices use WiFi?
From much Comcast experience: their remote checks only detect gross failures, not intermittent faults.

I’m sorry but that sounds like complete hogwash to me!
Either the modem works as designed…or it doesn’t?
There is no " it will get better with time" option.
I would have a strong word with Comcast with eye to getting a new, as in brand new not bounced around in the back of a truck new, modem.
Having dealt with Comcast in 6 different locations, 3 states (PA, CA, VA) I can confirm that fantastic excuses are SOP until one escalates again and again. In contrast, the two local ISPs I use frequently just do the right thing. No thanks to Congress and the Supreme Court for enabling internet access (mostly) monopoly.
One problem I encountered several times with Comcast is that signal levels on the cable drop are not reliably what the modem expects. Messing around with cable connectors and attenuators may help, but your typical first-tier installer won’t do it. The last Comcast-mare I had to deal with (in VA) was especially frustrating, but I finally fixed it with a lot of fiddling around with my own modems and settings via the Xfinity app. Not recommended for your blood pressure.
Have to agree with the others concerning Comcast. Is this Comcast business? I’m not familiar with their business line, but I would not use their modem. You can get a really good cable modem/gateway instead of paying every month to rent the junk they have in the back of the truck.
It seems to be just Flex that I use with my computer. My computer is a Surface 4 for the Roon Core.
