I hate to admit this but I don’t know what Airplay is except that it has to do with Apple. Is it the iOS version of bluetooth?
Regarding your advice to use Web Interface tool. I have a SMS 100 which uses a different interface… see picture above.

According to your screenshot below, you have an SMS-100, which is not a Roon Ready SOtM DAC:
This means that you will only be able to use Airplay with it for Roon, and you will be limited to a 44.1khz/16bit rate because of this. To get Airplay to work via Roon, you need to switch it to Airplay mode here:
Not really because it works over LAN/wifi and can do CD quality. In addition, it can do much more than Bluetooth, such as screen mirroring on Apple devices (like mirroring the screen of one devices on another, think playing from iPad to a MacBook or Apple TV). It’s essentially Apple’s swiss knife for wireless sharing on the LAN.
