Thank you for the reply, @Herbert_Kaindl. Could you, please, do the following:

  1. Resize your app window to the size when the issue occurs
  2. Reproduce this issue
  3. Note the timestamp
  4. Use the directions found here and send over a set of logs to our File Uploader from your Windows remote which you use to reproduce the issue?

Thanks!

Ivan

Ivan,
The issue is not in Windows so nothing to resize. It is on my Android Galaxy S24 only.

The request was for Herbert who does have it on Windows

Hi, @Douglas_L_Smith, sorry for not being clear, I requested @Herbert_Kaindl to run a test. I understand that your problem affects a certain mobile device but given that it’s also reproducible on desktop platform suggest that there is a specific app window size which causes this issue to occur. That information is going to be useful for our dev team when they start working on this bug.

Thanks!

IVvan

Hi Ivan,
i uploaded the file RoonServer_log.txt - timestamp is 15:19
I observed the following:

s. screenshot for the folder menu entry

when the “error” occurs i get the hand cursor for the menu entry playlists only when i move the cursor
to the top of the playlists menu entry s. screenshot below

Hi @Douglas_L_Smith,
The Dev team has made a ticket for this issue and are working on it. Please understand that I cannot give a precise timeline.

On Samsung tablet, Playlists in sidebar is greyed-out and not clickable

Describe your network setup

Issue Details

Samsung Galaxy Tab S8+ (12 inch screen)

Screen resolution 2800 x 1752 pixels (widescreen)

Playlists item is greyed out and not clickable, nor is the list scrollable so I can click it. See below.

BTW, on an 11-inch iPad Pro (4x3 screen with higher vertical resolution than the Samsung), the Playlists item works normally. So, the issue must be due to the specific vertical screen resolution.

When selecting ‘Show Playlists in the sidebar’ in settings, the list becomes scrollable, and the playlist items can be selected. See below.

Can you drag the sidebar up and make the Playlist entry active this way? And what’s the screen size of your tablet? It sounds as if it might be this known issue which occurs with certain screen/window sizes:

Thanks for your input. I just updated the ticket to show more info. The sidebar cannot be dragged or scrolled, only when the playlist content is also shown in the sidebar. It must indeed be due to the vertical resolution, as the iPad does not have this issue.

Describe the issue

I have a problem with selecting the Playlists overview screen in Roon Remote on Android.

Situation:
I have the option disabled to show all playlists in the sidebar in both my Windows and Android Roon Remote app.

In the Windows app I can select the Playlists option to go to the overview of my playlist folders.

In the Android app the Playlist option in the sidebar is grayed out and I can not go to the overview.
If I enable the option to show all the playlist in te sidebar the Playlist option at the top of the list is clickable. But I don't want all my playlist shown in the sidebar. I think it is more clear to users if the behaviour in the Android app is the same as in the Windows app.

Describe your network setup

Not relevant for this question I think.

This is a known bug that makes the item inactive probably because it is the last one and it’s close to the edge. There has been an open ticket for quite a while:

Any uodates on this ticket? It has been open since August 2024?

Hi @Douglas_L_Smith,

The ticket remains in the pipeline at this time. We’ll post here as soon as we have a more precise sense of when you can expect a fix to merge into a public or Early Access build. Thanks for your patience and please accept our apologies for the long delay.
