Describe the issue

After finally getting my PS Audio DSD DAC recognized by my Eero 5 mesh network, it shows up on Roon server as Roon Ready but is greyed out. However, it is still selectable as an endpoint and music plays through it with full remote control from my iPads. Why is it greyed out on the list of devices? Does that mean it doesn't have full functionality? Or is it some glitch, or a "problem" with not playing nicely with the mesh system? The DAC is plugged into a satellite, and the server is on a different satellite, but is wired not Wifi.

Describe your network setup

Eero 5 in office with modem. Server and DAC wired to separate satellites in 2 separate rooms using CAT8 cables

It’s not greyed-out in the sense that it is disabled. It is showing as enabled in your screenshot. The gear icon is visible, and this would be used to disable or visit device settings.

However, if you have the zone selected, and playing, this is confirmation that all is set up and working correctly.

To visually (by color) distinguish enabled from disabled devices.

No, it means it is enabled.

No, don’t bother. All is alright with your DAC in Roon.

Hey @James_Anderson2,

Welcome to the community! We’re excited to have you here! As both @mjw and @BlackJack have mentioned, there’s nothing wrong with your setup - you’re enabled and ready to play some Roon Ready music.

Happy listening! :drum: :notes:
