Qobuz albums in Roon not consistently sorted by "Date Added to Library" after update (ref#YKAVJ7)

Hi! What’s not quite right with Roon?

Tell us what's going on

· Hi Roon Support,

Since the latest update — the one that introduced the new random feature, which I really like by the way — I’ve noticed an issue with my Qobuz albums inside Roon.

The albums in my library no longer stay in the correct order. They are not consistently sorted by “Date Added to Library” anymore, and sometimes the order changes randomly without me understanding why.

Playback itself works fine. I do not have any streaming or playback issues. The problem is only related to how the albums are displayed and sorted, but it is becoming quite frustrating.

I believe I saw other users mentioning the same behavior on the forum, but I was unable to find the posts again.

I already tried logging out and reconnecting my Qobuz account, without success.

Is this a known issue? Is there anything else I can try on my side?

Thanks in advance.

Tell us about your home network

· For additional context, my Roon setup is entirely local on my home network.
Roon runs on rock behind the router of my internet box, and my music library is stored on a local NAS. I also use Qobuz in addition to my local library.

Apart from this album ordering issue, the system is stable and playback works correctly.

Hi,

It seems similar to the support case I opened : Date Added Metadata Changed for Half of Albums in Roon 2.65 (ref#RGBLX3) [Ticket In]

If you are still in Roon v2.65, you should upgrade to v2.66, which has a software correction for this problem.
You may also try the solution proposed by “Connor” in post 27

Thanks for your answer.

I confirm all my devices to be 2.66.

I will try the “import” workaround.

Unfortunately the workaround did not fix the issue.

Hi @Judelow ,

Is there any pattern that you can see to this? If you are able to demonstrate the issue happening with a screenshot before/after that would be ideal. You can also try a cache clear, perhaps this will help:

  • Stop Roon Server from running in the Web UI
  • Find and open your RoonServer database
  • Navigate to RoonServer/Cache
  • Move the contents of the /Cache folder elsewhere, like your desktop
  • Try restarting Roon Server via the WebUI and verify if the issue still occurs
