Yay! All those spurious albums from Qobuz have now disappeared, no action required or taken after I realised resyncs and log outs made no difference. Maybe Roon server side is gradually updating accounts over time and it just took a while to get to mine…?
Looks like I picked the wrong weekend to thoroughly clean up my Qobuz favorites.
- Last Saturday / Sunday I deleted all of my Qobuz favorited albums through Roon by removing them from my library.
- After that, each time I re-added one album from Qobuz through Roon, a lot of other albums automatically got added as well. In the Qobuz web interface, these were not visible. In addition to that, these were all albums with “Unavailable” tracks. I manually deleted these albums through Roon again.
- Since Sunday evening all Qobuz albums have again disappeared from my library. They are still favorited when I look at the Qobuz web interface. I rebooted, and signed out and in multiple times to no avail.
Please advise what I should do next.
I’ve lost all my playlists and tried to add some back in again. Everytime they were deleted within minutes. I also saw some songs recently played in Qobuz that I have never listened to. Problems started monday previous week. I logged in and out many times, but no changes
Hello All,
Thanks for your patience as we’ve been looking further into this issue. Further discussion reveals that this is still on Qobuz’s side, and they are actively working on additional resolutions.
To better understand the scope of the issue, please verify whether you can reproduce it within the Qobuz app or website. This will help us determine if the problem is specific to Roon or more widespread. For those who have tried a simple logout/login, you can also try a logout, reboot then login to see if it by any chance helps as well.
Additionally, if your library was affected, please let us know if you’d like us to provide your Qobuz login to Qobuz staff to “clean” it—meaning they would remove any content added during the incident. We will only proceed with this for users who explicitly provide their consent, and you can provide this consent by ing my below comment.
Thanks again for your patience, and we appreciate your help in getting this sorted!
By pressing the (heart) icon on this comment, I consent to have my Qobuz account details submitted to Qobuz staff so that the content that was erroneously added to my library during the issue period can be removed.
The 2 albums I added to the library this evening do appear and re-appear when I do this. But the albums I added over the weekend are still gone.
@noris, is there anything to be gained/is it in any way helpful to you in your negotiations with Qobuz to know if a user had NOT been affected?
I have not. Could that help eliminate certain settings/circumstances?
Good luck!
2 posts were split to a new topic: Qobuz library on Roon is truncated
Same problem here. Qobuz favourites have disappeared, again. This disappearing has happened dozens of times within two years I have been a Roon user. I’m a little tired of hearing that problem lies in the Qobuz end. Roon support should contact Qobuz support and find answer to this problem.
To the mystery content problem in Qobuz libraries. I had this problem appeared last week in the middle of listening session with Qobuz app. All of a sudden my login content changed to some French user content. All content changed, user name, preferences, favourite etc. This user content change drained also to Qobuz content in Roon. I contacted Qobuz support (bot I think) did get an answer something like “mayby my account is Hijacked, go and change your password now”. I did not take this for an answer, I seem to me that there is serious security problem in Qobuz end. After fighting with Qobuz bot support, I finally get instructions that Qobuz support contact me within 4 days. It’s over a week now and no contact from Qobuz.
So I tried to find solution this probIem and found one. My solution was this, I uninstalled Qobuz app from one of my devices and then install app again. After login my own profile and content was back. With Roon logout, restarting Roon app and login did the same.
But this morning Qobuz favourites were missing again in Roon…
I had the problem that there were about 10.000 random extra tracks from Qobuz added to my library. These albums were not visible as favorite in my Qobuz account.
The solution for me was to go back to an earlier backup. I went back 10 days ago and the tracks were gone directly. I then went back to the latest backup, in my case 3 am today. The tracks initially returned, but then the track counter decreased to the normal count.
Problem solved!
3 posts were split to a new topic: Only 6 albums showing on Qobuz in Roon instead of full library
I still have 35 albums in my Roon Qobuz library that I didn’t add, these albums are NOT appearing in the Qobuz app.
I already signed out and signed in multiple times but these albums still remain in Roon.
I deleted my unwanted albums from Qobuz favourites within Roon and did a library clean up and then re-started everything from scratch, since then (Sunday), all is good.
I’ll end up doing the same, I was waiting for the “official” solution but it seems it’s not happening.
Same here. The lack of communication is very annoying.
Hi all,
Just in case you missed it here’s a link to @noris’ post …
Thanks, I don’t have erroneously added albums, only missing ones.
Hi All,
Thanks for the additional information, I spoke to the team about this issue today and they have reiterated that if you are still seeing content in the Roon app that is different from the Qobuz app, the best troubleshooting step would be to trigger a “new account”/full Qobuz reync as mentioned above.
The procedure for a full Qobuz resync is as follows: Log out of Qobuz → Reboot RoonServer machine → Sign back into Qobuz. This process ensures that a first “new account” sync process is instantly triggered.
Looking over the other posts since my announcement, a few questions have arisen, I will tag specific accounts with the questions below.
If you’re not mentioned below and still having some version of this issue, please perform the full logout/reboot/login to Qobuz procedure, let us know, and make sure your post touches on the requested information:
@Robert_Davis1 (Content missing in Roon app but not Qobuz app) - We activated diagnostics for your account but don’t see signs of a full Qobuz refresh happening. Please try the procedure mentioned above and let us know if it helps.
@Kerry_Farrell (Seeing only a subset of Qobuz albums in Roon app) - After trying the procedure mentioned above, can you confirm that you are still able to access all of your Qobuz albums in the native Qobuz app (not just the 530 you see in Roon)? It is not clear as per your message.
@Sander_Zwier (Missing 2 albums even after new account refresh) - Can you please let us know the name/artists of the affected albums? This will help us review the error logging for more precise clues.
@Juha_Konttinen / @victorrz - If you are still seeing content that you didn’t add after performing the procedure, it’s possible that these are due to the Qobuz cache somewhere. Please perform a action on my post above, and we will forward your email address to Qobuz staff:
@Pieter_Stenekes / @Glimmer - Happy to hear the issue is solved on your end!
The 2 albums I added later and which are working properly are:
Nick Cave - Ghosteen
Joe Hisaishi - A Symphonic Celebration
Some examples of albums that are in my Qobuz favorites but are not showing in Roon:
Tracy Chapman - Tracy Chapman
The War on Drugs - Lost in the Dream
Radiohead - Kid A
I did that procedure above noris suggested + I added router rebooting.
Procedure: 1) logout Qobuz → 2) shutdown Macbook Pro (Roon Server) & MiniMac (Roon Bridge) → 3) Reboot router (internet provider) → 4) powerup Macbook Pro (Roon Server) & MiniMac (Roon Bridge) → 5) logging back to Qobuz.
There was no “This process ensures that a first “new account” sync process is instantly triggered.” It did not happen, there was now only 1 album from my own Qobuz favourites. This album was added to favourites thru Qobuz app during this week, it is now the latest addition to favourites but 26th latest.
I can find all latest Qobuz favourites in the Roon if I choose Browse → Qobuz → MyQobuz. Also I can find alla my latest Qobus Playlists if I choose Playlists → My Playlists → Qobuz.
As I said earlier this problem has walked with all the way on my journey with Roon. One day I find my Qobuz favourites, next day they can be found, or they have disappeared. It would be really nice to if you could find a lasting solution to this in cooperation with Qobuz.
Should I do something now to help you to achieve this goal?
