Hi noris,
I tried these troubleshooting steps multiple times but nothing changed. There are hundreds of Qobuz albums I didn’t add and somehow the number is even getting larger. They are not in my Qobuz favorites. What can I do to get rid of them? I tried removing them in roon, but roon told me “file not found”.
Dear Frederik,
Thanks a lot for your feedback. Sorry for my late reply, I was abroad for work-related issues. Thank you for your suggestion regarding restoring a backup. I was not aware that I should wait a longer time to get a full list of all backups. This may help in the future! Unfortunately, I had programmed a sub-optimal backup schedule, so that my “long-term backups” interfered with my “short-term backups”. Thus, I ended up with 3 backups only, and all were from the time after the erroneous albums were added. And those, which I had not deleted manually in the meantime, are still there! Now it is about a month and still no solution. Hopefully, the ROON staff will be able to sort out the problem soon.
Best regards,
Markus
Hello Markus
No worries about the late reply.
So, you do have a few backups, but unfortunately these all include the unwanted albums, correct?
For me, getting rid of those - in my case, hundreds - of unwanted albums was my prime goal; before I resorted to restoring a backup, I proceeded as follows:
- Disconnected my Qobuz account from Roon, using "Settings / Services "=> “Qobuz / Edit”;
- Next, you proceed by cleaning up your Roon library, via “Settings / Library / Library maintenance” => “Clean up library”; this will remove all Qobuz songs/albums from your Roon library. In my case, I was just left with the files on my local storage (“Settings / Storage”) as I have no other streaming services (such as Tidal) connected;
- Now reconnect your Qobuz account to Roon; however, the thing is, Roon does not “do anything” with all your Roon favourites, i.e. none of my albums and songs that appear in my “Favourites” in the Qobuz application do not re-appear in my Roon Library, which I found strange; as I could not be bothered to find a way to achieve this, I proceeded by restoring a backup. However, even without restoring a backup, you are still able to access all your Qobuz favourites via the “Browse / Qobuz / My Qobuz” menu option in Roon.
I am pretty sure there is a way to re-import your Qobuz favourites in the Roon library, I just haven’t found out how.
But, pending some solution from the Qobuz staff and/or Roon staff, you might want to try the steps I outlined above. If all goes wrong you just restore one of your backups and you are back to square one
Keep me posted & good luck!
/F
Maybe this helps?
I have now brand new Asus NUC 13 Pro NUC13ANHi5 Core i5 Mini PC (high) with 16GB (1x16GB) 3200Mts DDR4 SO-DIMM + Samsung 980 500GB 3D MLC 3-bit SSD M.2 PCIe Gen3.0x4 + Samsung 870 EVO 2TB 3D MLC 3-bit SSD 2.5inch SATA3 + Roon Rock. I just managed to get everything working with new NUC, local files and Qobuz content. Just after one day Qobuz content start going away again. I found out that missing Qubuz favaourite songs (or at least a number of songs) can be found by choosing Settings → Library → Clean up Library → “Clean up nnnnnnn deleted files”.
So when favourite count in the Home screen view goes down, count in the “Clean up nnnnnnn deleted files” goes up. So why does this happen? And do you still think that this problem is Qobuz based?
Hello Frederik,
Thanks for your reply and for your suggestions. For the moment I left some (I have no idea how many exactly, for sure several 100) of the „erroneous“ albums in my library in order to be able to see when there is an effective „cleanup“ by Roon or Qobuz or both.
I have a large collection of albums on local SSDs plus a large collection of „favorites“ in Qobuz. It is a total nuisance to „synchronize“ my favorites in Qobuz (inside or outside of Roon) with those inserted in “My Library/Albums” in Roon. I rather wait patiently for a solution provided by Roon and/or Qobuz.
Best regards,
Markus
