Qobuz Black Friday offers now live in UK

Apologies if this is not the place, but I noticed that Qobuz have reduced their price for gift cards, in their Black Friday sale. At least, here in the UK: £130 to £117, for 12 months of Studio. Same pricing as last year.

As usual, you have to disable auto-renew, then apply the gift card the day before Qobuz expires.

Oh my word. I forgot about the gift cards and have been checking the website for Black Friday deals without success. :person_facepalming:

Is there a deadline to activate the gift card?

The gift card doesn’t say, unfortunately, so I’m not sure. It happens that my Qobuz sub runs out at the end of December.

Note that if you already have a sub, and want to use a gift card, you have to be careful. Applying the gift card will override the rest of your subscription: it won’t simply be added on.

Here’s what I do:

  1. cancel existing sub auto-renewal before the sub expires
  2. wait for existing sub to end
  3. use gift card

Note that allowing your sub to end won’t affect your account, favourites etc. But if you’d rather not just let it end, then use the gift card the day before. Just make sure you’ve disabled auto-renew.
