Hello @Coleman_Kendall

Welcome back to the community!

To help us figure out why your Nucleus is having trouble connecting to Qobuz while your phone works fine, let’s start by refreshing the authorization token between Roon and Qobuz.

Could you please try the following steps?

  1. Open Roon and navigate to Settings > Services.
  2. Under the Qobuz section, click Edit and choose to Log Out.
  3. Reboot your Roon Nucleus.
  4. Once it is back online, go back to Settings > Services and log back into Qobuz.

If the issue persists after logging back in: Please try to play any track from Qobuz and make a note of the exact date and time (timestamp) when the playback fails or the error occurs.

Reply here with that specific timestamp and the name of the track you tried to play. This will allow us to enable diagnostics for your Nucleus and pinpoint the exact moment of the failure in the system logs.

Did this again with the same result. Qobuz track plays for around six to eight seconds and stops. Sometimes it starts up again an hour later in midsong. I don’t have an exact time stamp but around 8:52 AM EST I tried to play Suite: Judy Blue Eyes (2012 Remaster) and it played for a bit and stopped.

And now it works; thanks for whatever you did or didn’t do!

@Coleman_Kendall ,

We’re glad to hear that your problem is solved.

Enjoy your music!

Unfortunately, the problem is back. Qobuz songs start and stop after a few seconds. Any more advice? Just after they start I get a message saying “waiting for Roon server” and then everything stops. For the time stamp folks, “All by Myself” by Eric Carmen at 2:51pm EST.

Another log out from Qobuz and reboot of the Roon server has it working again, but only for a bit. Not great.

Hello @Coleman_Kendall

Let’s mitigate the possible DNS issues.

Here’s a step-by-step on how to change the DNS settings on your Nucleus:

Open a web browser on a device connected to the same network as your Nucleus.

  1. Enter the IP address of your Nucleus in the address bar.
  • If you don’t know the IP address:
    • Open the Roon app.
    • Go to Settings > Setup > Find Nucleus.
    • Note the IP address shown for the Nucleus.
  • Alternatively, use http://nucleus.local/ (on macOS or Windows with Bonjour installed).
  • Log into the Web Interface:
  1. Once the web page loads, you’ll see the Nucleus web administration interface.
  • Change the DNS Settings:
  • Scroll down to the Networking section.
  • If the Nucleus is using DHCP:
    • Note that you cannot directly edit DNS settings under DHCP. You will need to switch to a static IP to specify custom DNS servers.
  1. Switch to a Static IP:
  • Click on the Configure or Edit option under networking.
  • Enter the current network settings for your Nucleus (IP address, subnet mask, gateway) manually. These can often be found in your router’s settings or your current DHCP lease information.
  • Specify Custom DNS Servers:
    • Add DNS servers in the relevant fields. Common choices:
      • Google DNS: 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4
      • Cloudflare DNS: 1.1.1.1 and 1.0.0.1
      • OpenDNS: 208.67.222.222 and 208.67.220.220
  • Save and Apply Changes:
  • Click Save or Apply to confirm your new settings.

Restart the Nucleus (make sure Roon Server is stopped) and let me know if you continue to experience stoppages when streaming
