This is a recurring problem. I am patient, so I did not mention it for months. Now I feel it is enough.
Now and then, when I start the laptop harbouring the roon core in the morning, I get the following message: Roon could not connect to Qobuz. Every attempt to restart / reboot / reconnect to Roon fails, with an error message of the kind “Erreur de validation de votre compte”.
Fortunately, Qobuz works, so I can listen to whatever music I want. But I loose the integrated view of Roon and the additional metadata I created in Roon.
Fortunately, the connection failure is not definitive. It lasts usually for the whole morning and then suddenly, between 12 and 13, the connection can be re-established. I am living in Switzerland, UTC + 2 (Summer). It is as if somebody at last did wake up somewhere in the East of the US and did pull a switch…
But the switch had to be pulled off in the first place, probably during the European night time…
Roon identifies me and authenticates me, as does Qobuz. So it is some intermediary process at roon’s place, which does not do its work.
Since this is obviously a problem with the authentication process, I renounce to give all the details to my local set up. I just hope that the information above helps you on the path to solve the issue, which obviously hits others than me.
Thank you for your feed-backs. The logfile shows that Qobuz sends back a code 401 a second and a half after the login information was sent. Maybe there is an error in the encription of my credentials or the identity of the device/manufacturer. What surprises me most is the time ditribution of successes and failures.
I will continue to look for a solution on my own.
