Qobuz-indexed album not in Roon database

I have an album that is in Qobuz (Southern Shores - Siena) as a favourite, but also that I own. All the official metadata is available to me in Qobuz, but when I try to pair the album with official metadata via “Edit” in Roon, it cannot find that metadata, with the usual “Sorry, no match. We’re updating our database all the time, if it is a new album, come back later” dialogue to end the attempt. Hence a double listing in my Roon library.

The album is from 2020 so it is not new, and surely it should have made it into whatever database Roon uses for metadata by now? I’m curious, not least as to why Roon doesn’t seem to be able to access the metadata Qobuz uses to fill out what it “knows” about the releases out there.

Anyone throw any light on this? (And, also on what I may do to stop the release being listed twice in Roon, rather than being recognised as the same release?)

Thanks for any help on this.

Hi Phil. At present, we do not use streaming service metadata for the identification of local content. That means that, unless the album is available in one of our non-streaming service databases, we can’t identify it. I appreciate that you bought the album from Qobuz, so in theory there should be no problem in using Qobuz metadata here; however knowing for certain that the album originated from Qobuz is not straightforward. This issue, in general, is something we want to improve, but I can’t give any timescales.
