Describe the issue
Qobuz playback fails for all streaming media. I can access Qobuz from within Roon, see albums, tracks, and playlists. When I try to play, all tracks are skipped with a message that the track is not currently available from Qobuz. This error appears for content that worked with Qobux as recently as a few days ago.
Describe your network setup
Roon running on Ubuntu 24.04 server, 2.5Gb connectivity to internal network (Ruckus enterprise switches). Internet connection is 2.5Gb fiber, in from Verizon FIOS ONT to OPNsense firewall. No relevant content filtering.
I have performed the following troubleshooting steps:
- Rebooted the Roon server. No effect.
- Disabled Qobuz, then enabled. No effect.
- Logged out of Qobuz, waited a few minutes, logged back in. No effect.
- Restored the entire Roon server (OS and all) from the previous day’s backup, reverting Roon to the pre-2.67 version it was running. No effect, so the issue is not specific to 2.67.
- Reviewed firewall logs and DNS request logs for blocked traffic from Roon server. Nothing blocked.
- Tested Tidal streaming of the same albums and new ones. No issues, all working.
- Accessed Qobuz via Roon sidebar. I can see content, albums, playlists, tracks. Most playlists and albums populate when selecting them, some get stuck on “loading album”.
- Accessed Qobuz via Qobuz app. No problems with usage or playback directly from the app to the same devices.
Hey @Robert_Fox,
Thanks for writing in and for sharing your report! From a fresh Roon Server diagnostic report, the issue is clear:
[qobuz/media] could not get playback info for 202:0:41657217X:
Result[Status=NotAvailable, ErrorText=No streaming URL returned]
Roon is successfully reaching Qobuz’s API (HTTP 200 responses), but Qobuz is returning no streaming URL for every track on the Hiromi - Strange Little Moments album . This causes a cascade of StoppedEndOfMediaUnnatural → _Advance → next track → same failure, until the zone stops entirely.
I’m not able to locate the Hiromi album from Roon or Qobuz on my end - are you still able to locate it via Qobuz directly? I believe this may be a case where Qobuz silently delisted or replaced the album.
Feel free to share any other Qobuz content you’re having issues with, thanks Robert!
You are absolutely right, I don’t see that album either. I did try one other, that I can’t recall right now, but it also didn’t work. However, others are working just fine. I’m thinking I might have purely by chance tried two separate albums that Qobuz removed. It seems like all is well. Thank you for the quick response!
