I have Qobuz sublime subscription. I have the current version of roon installed. I am not getting tth high bit rate sublime files unless I first like the album or song in the qobuz app. The example I was looking at was The album thriller by Michael Jackson. The album is available above 96 khz, but album was only available at 96 in roon. This is the case for all albums that I looked at. Only one of the songs was available at the highest bit rate sublime bit rate. Once I like the album in qobuz, it then became available at the higher sublime bit rate. Some albums would still play at the higher bit rate but only show the lower bit rate. So it won’t show up in the search if I would filter either.
Thanks for your post. You’re likely encountering a confusing edge-case between Qobuz’s main catalog and the API to which they expose content to Roon. When you favorite this content in Qobuz, Roon acknowledges those changes through background syncs with Qobuz, and it exposes the sublime-tier resolution to your Roon account.
Roon integrates with Qobuz through Qobuz’s public API, so Roon can only display and filter resolutions that the Qobuz API reports as available to your account at the time of the request. In many cases, that API initially returns a default resolution (commonly 44.1 kHz or 96 kHz), even when higher-resolution Sublime versions exist in the Qobuz catalog.
In some cases, playback may already occur at the higher resolution even though Roon’s UI and resolution filters still reflect the lower one, because the stream entitlement and the resolution metadata returned by the API are temporarily out-of-sync. Try forcing a sync in Settings → Services → Qobuz. What do you have set as the max streaming quality in your Qobuz settings in that same dialog window?
Let us know if you have any questions.
Thanks!
