One track that previously could not be played has started playing again. I tested it on other tracks and the issue remains.
Seems to be a Qobuz issue. Tried it through their app and the same tracks aren’t working.
You can change the DNS on the system where your Roon server is running (Windows, MacOS, ROCK, Nucleus), and it will be used instead of the DNS setting on your Xfinity router.
However, if you experience the same playing issue on the Qobuz app, then as you say the problem is probably in Qobuz.
Thanks for letting us know! Since your Roon Server is running on a Mac, you can easily bypass the Xfinity router’s DNS restrictions by changing the DNS settings directly within macOS.
Changing this will override the router and often clear up connection issues with streaming services like Qobuz. Here is how you can change your Mac’s DNS to a reliable public option like Cloudflare (1.1.1.1) or Google (8.8.8.8):
On your Mac, choose Apple menu > System Settings (or System Preferences), then click Network in the sidebar.
Click the active network connection you use on the right (like Wi-Fi or Ethernet), then click Details (or Advanced on older macOS versions).
Click the DNS tab.
Click the Add button (+) at the bottom of the DNS Servers list.
Enter 1.1.1.1 (for Cloudflare) or 8.8.8.8 (for Google). You can click the “+” again to add a secondary option like 1.0.0.1 or 8.8.4.4.
Click OK, then click Apply to save the changes.
After making this change, we recommend giving your Mac a quick reboot. Once it’s back up, test those problematic Qobuz tracks again in Roon (and in the native app).
