· I have been Running Roon on a NUC Rock for about 2 years. OS version 2.1 (build 271) and Roon Server Software version 2.64 (build 1646). I have not updated the software on the NUC (I have of course updated roon as it regularly prompts for updates. Is there any update I should run on the NUC and if so, how should I do so? Thank you.

· Wired network. Roon only running over ethernet in the home (except Ark occasionally). TP Link AX3000 router, multiple switches. NUC 13 pro runs ROCK. I usually access everything through a W11 Pro PC, Core i7, 64gb RAM, ssd boot drive and multiple spinning disks.
These are the latest versions of RoonOS and the Roon Server software. RoonOS 271 was released in September 2024 or about 1 1/2 years ago. Version 2.64 of Roon Server was released just 5 days ago so both have been updated since your original ROCK install.
I believe (although it’s now quite some time since I ran RoonOS) that updating Roon in response to the prompts (as you say you have done) or alternatively just setting Roon to auto update, is all you need to do. It certainly is with respect to the Roon Server software. Hence you are on the latest versions of both despite originally installing older versions.
If you should ever notice the the version of RoonOS is not up to date, then you can simply use the “Reinstall” button on the RoonOS WebUI where you see the RoonOS version number. This will install the latest version of RoonOS and the Roon Server software.
Thank you. I appreciate the information. I was concerned that since it is Linux based, I would have to perform some operations in Linux to update things.
