Question about signal path of Roon Server and Roon Endpoint all-in-one device

Hello, for some all-in-one device (e.g., Roon Server+Roon Endpoint+DAC) like Grimm Audio MU2 or etc.

When setup both Roon Server to connect to itself as Roon Endpoint as well, in such case, does the signal have to transfer out to the network through its ethernet port and then back to itself as a Endpoint through the same ethernet port?

So any benefit of such configuration?

No, this is similar to running Roon Server on any computer and using a System Output or direct-attached connection (USB DAC, HDMI, etc.) to which to play. No external network connection loopback occurs on direct-attached endpoints.
