Apologies if this has already been asked, the search results were inconclusive.
The latest update to RoPieee includes the option to set an update interval and sync time. I set this to weekly and the sync time reflects the correct time to look for an update. However RoPieee is still rebooting nightly. I removed the reboot time from the ‘General’ settings tab however this sent RoPieee into a constant reboot loop.
RoPieee’s update mechanism is (now) not related to the reboot time.
So even if you have set the update interval to 1 week RoPieee still needs an update.
This might change in the future, but rebooting a system that runs completely in RAM doesn’t hurt. I didn’t want to change that with the last release, because it’s something I really, really need to test for a longer period (to make sure that keeping it running ‘forever’ doesn’t have a negative impact).
And… you’ve discovered a bug. Because ‘removing’ a boot time should not be possible.
Hope this clears it up a little bit. I definitely need to work on the documentation
