I’ve been reading for a couple of weeks about roon ready network players. Being my self a USB-DAC user, I was wondering if getting a roon ready network player would allow me to play all my files store in the PC using roon and not having any limitations (bitrate or quality), being everything on a wired LAN hooked to a router. From what I could understand, the pc works as the core and the network streamer would be recognized by roon the same way my usb dac is, right?
Yes.
Only network streamers that are certified to be ‘Roon Ready’ or devices that RoonBrige can be installed on will be recognized by Roon.
This restriction is not relevant to a USB connected DAC.
