Description of Issue

I often use the “clear upcoming” feature in the queue so that music will stop playing after the current track. Sometimes the Roon app will appear as if playback has stopped (i.e., the icons and progress bar show it’s stopped), but output continues. Closing the Roon app does not stop the output. I have to start a new playback operation and then stop it to get the output to stop.

The behavior seems random. It doesn’t follow a particular album or track.

That sounds like Roon Radio picking up after the last track ended, which would be normal if Roon Radio is enabled. The on/off switch is at the bottom left of the queue screen.

The OP said:

This sounds more like a bug.

Does this happen when using a remote not on the core device?
Might be an issue with teh install?

I should have mentioned that, no, Roon Radio is disabled. I mostly listen to albums, and when the problem occurs, the output is the next track in the album. And as mentioned, the player shows that it is not playing.

Hey @Sheb,

Following up on this thread, could you please share a specific time stamp the next time this happens? The track name would be helpful as well.

I’ll be on standby for your reply. :+1:
