experiencing some radiostations that used to be loss less FLAC streams all of a sudden are MP3/320 - saw it for Linn & the jazz station - anyone that know why?

Can you name a particular station giving trouble please? Neither the Linn stations nor The Jazz Station stream flac.
I check all flac stations every day and there are often a few which are down for one or two days then come back up. I didn’t see a jazz station among those this morning, so it may be recent.
sure, Brian; Linn Jazz was FLAC yesterday. Same applies to The Jazz Station365
…just to make explain - the statins play fine, but they are now using MP3/320 rather than FLAC

You are correct about Linn being a FLAC stream recently, bummer that they are dropping it. Are you aware of these?
The NAIM stations are also available in FLAC
Well, it wasn’t on Roon because there wasn’t, and isn’t, a flac URL in the database for that station.
that’s what I’m saying - it used to be flac - either they changed it permanently or the MP3 stream is a fall over due some tech issue on their side.. If it doesn’t come bac as flac, I’ll wirte them ask what it is.
@OffRode thanks for supporting you also had seen it as FLAC and thanks for the tips on the other stations that I will try out..

The Linn website says:
“Tune in to the highest quality web radio. Our three stations bring you the best of the music available from Linn, broadcast in crisp 320 kbps MP3. That’s twice the quality of current DAB radio.”
And the Focal/Naim app also lists Linn only as 320 kbps:
I also found a (German) forum discussion from 2021 saying that Linn is only available as 320 kbps in Roon:
And finally, @BrianW would know if there was a FLAC link in the Roon database because he is the maintainer of said database

Just search live radio by country, they are already in there.

I tried some of these FLAC stations, but today they stopped playing after a few minutes and had to be restarted manually.I don’t know if this is relevant at all…
Which ones?
RP main flac stream is working again.

I think it was ISEKOI from France, Cesky Roshlasz from Prague and Sector Radio Jazz from Russia. The first two are okay now, but the Russian station no longer plays flac, only mp3.
Hmm, the flac stream seems ok to me.
Well, here in the Netherlands it cuts out after 10 seconds and won’t start up again, unless I switch to the mp3 stream. Switching back works but only for a very short time.
